Like most people, i'll never forget those crazy four years called high school. there were a lot of laughs, a lot of tears,
friends, fights, homework, stress, and fun. but unlike most people, i've decided that i'm going to write a book based on
my high school years. and well...this is it. or the start of it, at least. i know it will be a long time before i finish
the book, probably years, but i gotta start it somewhere. so this is for you guys; this is for anyone i have ever called a
friend, even if we are no longer friends, this is even for new friends who had no idea who i was until college and are just
getting to know me. this is for my teachers, the ones we loved, the ones we made fun of and the ones who taught me everything
i needed to know. this is for my family, who stood by me when everything was happening so fast in my life. this is for anyone
who has ever touched my life in some way. if you know who i am, then this is for you. and if you're a William Tennent Class
of 2008 alumni, this is definitely for you!!

so here's my story. my story is about a normal everyday teen and her adventures through high school. all the ups and downs,
highs and lows, all the crazy things she remembers about it. there's no fluff, no unrealistic plot twists, no fancy stuff,
just a true story about an all-american girl and her memories about growing up in a small town, with a small life, but with
big dreams for herself. of course it will obvious to some that this main female character represents myself, but others may
not know. but for those who don't know, i will tell you now that yes- she does.

throughout my whole high school years, i always whined to my mother that sometimes i just wished that it would be over and
that i would be graduating, and she always said to me, "don't blink. you may think it's dragging on now, but once it's over,
it will feel like the blink of an eye."

and she was right; i blinked, and high school was gone.
