I remember hot summer evenings
Chillin' with my friends
How'd we all grow up so fast now
Thought our youth would never end

Just a bunch of silly high schoolers
We were big-shots, "mister know-it-all's"
Lived it large each chance we got
In a world we thought was so small

There we were, every weekend
Hangin' at the neighbor's pool till five
Walked to the shopping center for dinner
cause we didn't know how to drive

marathons of the shows we loved
we couldn't cook but hell we tried
pillow fights and late nights
of laughing 'till we cried

now things seem so different
things aren't like they were before
we've all changed, we're older now
we don't hang out like we used to anymore

so every now and then
I'll think back to that time
When we were all together, having fun
On those summer evenings, feelin' fine
about one of the greatest summers during high school :D

I like the rhyming, it sounds really good and has a nice flow to it. :) Great poem mdear. ^^
